1. WHO HE IS
Lokubal Isaac is a young professional tour guide from Napak District, Karamoja Region. Born into a poor background, Isaac turned struggle into purpose. Today he runs EJOK TOURS AFRICA – a tour company built to showcase Karamoja’s heritage, create jobs, and lift vulnerable children and orphans out of poverty. Ejok means “Good / Well” in Ngakarimojong.
2. EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
With 3+ years guiding experience, Isaac has professionally hosted local, national, and international tourists across Uganda’s top destinations:
- Mountain & Adventure Guiding (Certified by Uganda Wildlife Authority)
Mt. Napak, Mt. Kadam, Mt. Moroto, Mt. Elgon – climbing, safety, and cultural interpretation. - Wildlife & Game Parks
Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls NP, Pian Upe Game Reserve, Bokora-Matheniko Game Reserve – game drives, tracking, conservation education. - Cultural Tourism
Manyata visits, Kraal visits, traditional ceremonies – certified for authentic cultural site guiding.
3. VISION & IMPACT
Isaac’s dream goes beyond tourism. Having grown up with limited opportunities, he’s committed to breaking that cycle for others.
- Current Impact: He already supports a few primary school orphans with scholastic materials (books, pens, uniforms).
- Future Goal: Through EJOK TOURS AFRICA, he aims to:
- Create sustainable jobs for Karamoja youth as guides, drivers, and crafts vendors.
- Allocate part of tour revenue to a fund supporting orphans and vulnerable children’s education in Napak and Moroto.
- Promote responsible tourism that preserves Karamojong culture and environment.

5. GRANT REQUEST SUMMARY
Funding for EJOK TOURS AFRICA will enable Isaac to:
- Purchase/lease 1 safari vehicle for reliable tours.
- Formalize business registration and marketing for international clients.
- Expand orphan support program to cover school fees and meals for 20+ children annually.
- Train 5 vulnerable youth as assistant guides.
